does anyone know if the dsg paddles behind the steering wheel can be retrofit?

I hardly use mine, I wouldn't bother....

I use mine all the time.
I think its a whole wheel swap. You may also need to check if the convenience module will control the paddles.

ok thanks, i was hoping to do this at the same time as swapping my wheel for a multi function one, so i'll prob have to change the control module as well.
gonna get some quotes from a couple of stealers.
