What's your favourite thing about your MKV GTI
« on: 17 February 2008, 16:00 »
I know there is soooooooooo many wonderful things - but what's the one that makes you smile the most........

Steering wheel for me, the noise it makes as it slides through my hands
Had my GTI for 11 months and I still take a breath and smile as I turn the ignition key

**MK5 GTI**

The wheelspin

lol. Just kidding. I like the interior, so posh and lush.
I also like the fact that when you pull up to a 5 Star Hotel the guy who opens the doors of the really "upper Class" cars will open your doors before his...

Basically the fact that the car has class and like Jeremy Clarkson put it:

A car that you take the kids to school in... And then drive home like you have just been bitten by a wasp

ALSO-

A hatch back that has hotel porters running...The MK5 GTi is the ultimate GTi.

Basically I just love how underrated the car is and how many people it shocks and how much attention it draws.

Mine is something I just discovered by accident the other day (i'm sure everyone else already knows). Its a bit sad but i like how you can get the nearside wing mirror to point down when reversing

Ohh, that and the engine is ok too I guess (previous car was a fiesta).

Welcome to the forum Ricardo.

What you mean the engine is ok? Compared to a Fiesta I would say its incredible. We have a Fiesta ST. Its ok....

Thanks for the welcome. Maybe I was being a bit harsh with the ok comment, it is pretty awesome coming from the fiesta though the fiesta did have the special feature of brakes that felt like you walking on blamonge ;)
