Rear big bumper question
« on: 17 February 2008, 14:37 »
Does anyone know if a big bumper is one piece or two, I've added a pic to explain what I mean.

The reason I'm asking is because I have a tow bar on mine and if I could get away with replacing part A I would try and do that, thanks

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

all big bumpers are 1 piece, you'll just have to get it painted!

Does anyone know what sort of fit are the aftermarket ones are ? I'm tempted to try and fill the hole on the bumper, smooth it over and paint just that bit  :undecided:

I'll grow udders and get milked before I pay £207 for a bumper

ECP ones are allegedly better than GSF ones. You could try ringing a few scrappers to see if anyone has a genuine one in the right colour?

How about this?

Doesn't say if its genuine or not though but at least its the right colour!

I think i paid about £100 for the rear bumper skin from vw.

Buy vag parts as the texture is way better than pattern ones.

Might be interested in your tow bar bumper.
