condensation in rear lights
« on: 17 February 2008, 13:49 »
howdy, just wondered if any other mk4 golf owners have had trouble with condensation in their rear lights? mine are standard rear lights and the drivers side light is full of condensation. ive replaced it with a brand new one but the condensation soon re-appeared. ive checked the gasket is ok(the new light had a new gasket anyway) and all seems ok.  looking at the rear lights on other mk4's i come across, i've noticed i'm not the only one to suffer from this problem. so does anyone suffer this problem, or know how to fix it? cheers

When I bought the car it came with bad boy lexus rears which steamed up. I (obviously) replaced them with standard ones and its been fine ever since.

Dont know what else to suggest :(

you probably want to check your seals round the boot, as they could be leaking and letting moisture. get it
