What's my GTi worth?

Hi, I'm selling my car soon but don't really know what to advertise it for. Can anyone give me an idea? I've looked on autotrader and pistonheads but the differences in prices are so big it's hard to work out a realistic value.

The car is a mk4 gti (150) 03 reg, 45000 miles (genuine), full service history (main dealer), good condition, standard (no mods), diamond black.

The cam belt was changed at 36k (when I had a faulty water pump replaced), it has brand new front tyres and a new windscreen fitted (next week after a golf ball hit it a few weeks ago!)

Any help would be much appreciated...

hard to say really; i'd take a stab at around 7K    what sort of valuations have you seen??

yours will probably be worth a bit more than a modded golf as people prefer to buy motors that haven't been touched; also appeals to a wider market

I've seen them from between 6k and 9k on autotrader! Quite a big difference!

I'm selling because I'm getting a 5dr MkV (it's hard work trying to get a two year old into a car seat in the back of a 3 door - especially when he doesn't want to!). I've had it for three years now as well though so also fancy a change...

well with 60k in clean condition they retail at about 7.5k
