Thats good going.

Hi Turbo
I wish that I found that problem first off. The little B%GG?r cost me a G60 ECU a battery and almost a new battery. O yeh it sent acid steam in to the engine bay. Was'nt chuffed when 250 odd  squid could have been averted with a ?10 regulator.
Anyone reading this, the first signs of regulator trouble are brighter headlights and lower fuel economy and a steamy hot battery.

Hi VWSystems

Yeah it made a bit of a mess of the engine bay on the near side.Luckily the external paintwork is ok, and the battery tray had just been waxoyled Phew !. But things like circlips, nuts washers got the worst symptoms of corrosion. Paint on the starter motor has been acid etched too !!.

Ya live n learn
