Hi! bought my 1st golf 2 days ago! black mk3 gti 16v (put sum pics on soon).
unfortunately im nt off to a good start..............
bought it with full service history, just bin serviced, new brakes etc, really clean and original, onli had gas shocks -20mm,and cat 1 full closure, cant go wrong..........or so i thought!
had it an hour and the starter motor gave up! and only 1 i could get at short notice was a bosch 1 at £120 !!!!!!!
then last nite an oil breather pipe split so a nice warm oil smell inside now..............
so far, i understandibly dont think alot of golfs!lol! please convince me otherwise

welcome mate
irregardless of it being serviced just go over all the pipes and vacuum pipes and check all electrical connections in engine bay, clean up the earths on rocker cover and gearbox, doing this may save you any further grief

all you need now is a sailors cap, pipe, lifejacket and foghorn and your properly good to go
may you have many happy days dubbing
