Castrol Edge
« on: 15 February 2008, 14:23 »
Just to let everyone know, I was in Halfrauds yesterday , and they're "giving away" a decent kit of screwdrivers if you buy 4L of (VW tspec) Edge  @ £43
Hardly the bargain of the century but if you need oil it's nice to get something for nothing

I cant for life of me remeber what one I use but its Castrol something and its only £25 for 4L. I can only asume it isnt this Edge stuff you speak of. I think mine is called opti . . . .  something or other.

I know mine isnt a MK5 but its nearly half the price

I needed the oil topped upin my ed 30 and was passing a stealer, they wanted £18 for a litre of castrol edge. On my way home i called into my local auto parts they done me a litre of castrol edge for £10 and they reckon a large can either 4 or 5 litre's (cant remember which, would be around £36.
