Wheel help on Ed30..
« on: 14 February 2008, 16:05 »
Can anyone tell me whether these will fit straight on to my Ed30?

Not very clued up with off sets and all that jazz. Am also looking at the black Monzas (like on the European models), but they seem to be big £'s, but I know they would go straight on with no worries.
The Team Dynamics on the other hand look fantastic and are lightweight too.
See here, on a VXR, but you get the idea..

But will they fit on without to much bother?
Help!!!

Yes, they will fit as you can order them with 112mm PCD and the offset is 45 which is acceptable for an 8" alloy.

Ah good man.. What's a PCD? Sorry to sound dum, but as I say, not to clued up in that area..
So you think they will go straight on mate, without sticking out etc or rubbing? I will be putting the original rubber on them too and selling the Tyres the new wheels come with..

Not a dumb question

PCD is Pitch circle diameter.

If you drew a circle with its centre in the middle of the alloy and the circle outer rim piercing the centre of each bolt hole, then the circles diameter in mm is the PCD. See the pic below.

These are exactly the wheels that I'm looking at, the only thing stopping me at the moment in the rim embossing - I'd like to see a picture of a Golf with these on to see how they blend.

Definitely upgrade the tyres to something more usefull!

Yeah, i'll be swapping the tyres off my Pescara's with the one's that come with the new wheels. So long as they fit ok, which they should do I think..
Must admit, i'd like to see a Golf with these on too. But i've seen quite a few different cars with them on and they all look spot on.

What sticking out the arches you mean?

No, the text around the rim that's embossed in - Team dynamics motorsport. On the pictures of just the wheels only it looks fairly in-your-face, as I'm not a fan of that I'd like to see a picture of what they were like fitted. I'll still probably end up getting a set around the end of march time and just use them for summer wheels, keeping my old 17's for the winter.

I do like the TD wheels, but part of the ED30 attraction is the wheels.
Same as my old Lightning Yellow VX220, it had Ltd Ed wheels and it seemed daft to take them off.
