Perhaps this topic ought to be retitled "Quaife for DSG" or similar as it's more about the diff than a general DSG subject (Hurdy?).
I was driving past Portsmouth today so dropped by JKM and had a long chat with Jim about diffs for the GTI. He reckons that Peloquin is a little bit more hardcore and feels slightly harsher and so more suitable for the track. Whereas the Quaife is very smooth and you'll only know it's fitted because of how the car pulls out of corners better. There's no real difference in their construction quality he reckons.
What he wants to do with mine is fit the original filter back into the DSG after Quaife installation and then go for a 50 mile drive to know it's all settled. And then change the filter to a new one. That's the kind of caring guy he is
