R32?????
« on: 13 February 2008, 19:35 »
Hi all,

I don't know why but I have developed an urge to buy a mk4 R32. Just wondering if anyone on here could give me any advice, pros, cons, good points, bad points etc. I love my Anni so am therefore familiar with the mk4s but cant help being more and more attracted to the V6 4 Motion Beast!  I have had a look at insurance and it seems pretty good, only 2 years NCB but am happy with the quote. Please Help!

Many Thanks

Jon

You will need an extra bank account to pay for the petrol!!   I would love an r32 but could never justify the cost of fuel. (and only 240 bhp out of a 3.2???)

well my mileage is minimal as I have a company van. I put roughly 6000 miles on any car in a year so that's not too much of an issue. I see your point re. 240bhp, but without putting a turbo on it, what other ways could I get more power out of it?
I always thought a remap is less effective on a non-turbo car isn't it? had a quick look - 6.6 secs 0-60:thats still pretty rapid!

Remap would put about 15bhp on  But yeah that 0- 60 time is rapid!!

if your first name happens to be sultan and you also happen to own an oil refinery then, you'd be able to run an R32, personally i'd stick with the anniversary (although trade it in for a TDI one)

whilst the anni isn't going to be as quick, standard as the R32 IMO its much more special due to the limited numbers.

if you want R32 performance then you could basterdise your anni, just don't ruin the looks please.
