Bloody car.....
« on: 12 February 2008, 21:44 »
Ok well had my jamex Fitted today and when i picked up the car i was well  mechanic said "it rubbed abit", that was an understatement.

Started to drive it and scrappppppppppppppppppe........the 17's were practically jammed in the rear arches, there was no clearance what so ever. Anyways made it the 5 or so miles home painfully with the constant scrappppppppppppppe and decided to try and put my bbs 15's back on the rear.........  :shocked

Would you believe it there seems to be some space between the tyre and the arch, what i wanna now is how..? tyres on my 17's were 205/40/17 and on my 15's 205/50/15.

Can't see any name brand on the old suspension, all i know its from a company called TuningPlace in Germany. Considering the old suspension was supposed to be 60/40 and this new Jamex gear 30/25 its seems to be alot lower at the back now though

what offset you got on your wheels? mine is very low with 205/40/17 with a 35mm offset, only get a little rubbing when i go over a very bad bump

Na as when i picked it up it was dark, try and get one up tomorrow although at the moment it looks a little odd as the front is still sat on 17's while the back is now riding on 15's

sounds like a real sh!te day

i had similar weekend doing my rear brakes as a caliper had siezed on, spent all weekend getting it all done after been given the wrong parts and having to travel all over looking for a caliper, then finding out it was the carrier that was siezed and not the actual caliper..

in the end iv ended up with new rear discs, pads, bearings, a new caliper, the other side caliper fully re hauled, new split pins and lock washers....

should last a while
