Order delayed - AGAIN!
« on: 12 February 2008, 11:30 »
Hi All

I've just had word from my broker - the delivery for my Ed30 is now being stated as 'mid March'.

I ordered on 21 November and was originally told 30 Jan!!

Thought I should flag this as a warning and ask if any others have experienced similar? Is there anything that can be done about it?

Cheers

The wait is always painful

Mine got delayed at the foreign docks last year (as did quite a few others) and it meant I had to wait around 3 extra weeks

Generally delays aren't the fault of the dealer, but they are the ones in the front line and bear the brunt of the disgruntled buyers. If you have had to hand in your car by a certain time or you had already sold on your car as you had been promised a certain delivery date from the dealer then you may stand a chance of some sort of compensation, otherwise it is simply a part of the process.

People should always expect delays with something that is manufactured to order.  As a rule of thumb, if it turns up on time you have had a result.  A few weeks delay should be expected and a month or so's delay is hardly uncommon.
