Motorpoint tend to sell imports - check the warranty is 3 years - not 3 months!!
They also sell job lots of cancelled orders , I remember seeing the state of corrosion on a so called new Gti
which had been sitting in a field for months.

Nice bit of info on the DSG!!

Rang motorpoint today, they sold theres today (just my luck), but said they can get one sent up from down south, 3dr silver if i wanted it! He also said they were £19.999 anyone know the reason for them selling them at this price?

Tempting eventhough i want it in candy white
motorpoint mostly sell imports from Holland etc, thats where mine was from so it still has U.K. spec.the only difference is you only get 2 years warranty where in the U.K your dealer gives you the extra year, also i saved over £4000.

If the £19,999 is for a DSG ED 30 in Silver then it is the cheapest import ED 30 I have ever seen

I would check it it out if I was you, could be a bargain (or even a misprice as DSG is usually £1000 extra)

Just make sure the car has been maunufactired recently,  and has a recent PDI dated stamp in the service book.  Your two year warranty starts from this PDI stamp date.

DSG is most probably the way forward.

The only reason we have a manual is cos my mom dislikes auto boxes.

....In my opinion DSG is most definitely the way forward - You can drive exactly like a manual except that you don't have to use your left foot and your wrist. It's the bset of both conventional automatic and manual world.

Thanks, wasnt too sure what one to go for as i cant get a test drive of a Gti with the DSG box, went to the stealers yesterday, gave me a pretty good part exchange against the car, but didnt shift on the price of the car as they said that the discount was added in the part exhange! will give them a ring tommorow see if i can get them to shift slightly on the price

Went for:

Candy White
Xenons
Armrest
Highline Computer
