Thanks Midz, the Boge kit you spoke of was it lowered or standard ride height?
I just need to find out if I can fit Eibach lowered springs on Boge dampers.. Anyone done this?

it was lowered either 35 or 40mm mate

mate dont go for cheap springs the ride is shocking if not dangerous on bumpy roads as mentiond before eibach springs are the daddies progressively wound to. i have this set up with konis and it handles like a hare and is plesurable to drive you dont have to appologise to the inlaws every time they get in you car anyway i have something that might change your mind a set of brand new eibach springs in the box with receipt for a mk2 16v golf that never got used on a project i willing to let these go for £85 and as you have looked into buying some you will know they retail around £140 anyway here they are
