It's about time I changed the knackered suspension on my Golf which leads to the question, what kit??
I've read about Eibach Pro-Springs on Koni dampers, that the forum recommends and have found these work out well expensive at £275 all inc. Can anyone recommend any other make of kit that lowers my car about 20-30mm, improves the handling well & gives a comfortable ride?
Thanks if you can help guys?

I recently put the Eibach pro springs on mine with Boge gas shocks (which luckily were already on them).  It works really well and compared to other prices and advice from other people it's a better choice to get good springs/shocks over cheap coilovers (which work out about the same price).  Saying that, I'm not sure how much those shocks are.

Hope that helps a bit though

I've read a few reports of Hottuning coilovers from ebay etc and they are dirt cheap for what they are but I'm not convinced they will improve the handling of a GTi?
Maybe someone could clear that up

I've looked at the Koni strt kit from europerformance, its about £250 iirc but I've not heard people's opinions on them as of yet  :undecided:

I think Boge dampeners and eibach springs are a good choice
Or maybe 2nd hand?

Can anyone tell me if the GSF sports suspension kits are any good, they seem a good price at under £200 and lower the car 40mm, which I'm thinking is a tad too low..
GSF say they don't supply lowered Boge dampers to go with Eibach springs, and as I'm on a tight budget I can't afford the Koni's..
Any advice gratefully received, thanx.

Nice one Rob, just what I needed a pic of a 40mm lowered car.. She's a beauty mate, looks nice without scraping the deck

with one of my old golfs i had a boge kit that came with springs i also had a golf with koni top ajustables and springs, the boge were more comfortable than the konis and the handling gave a little so was better for me.
in the end they were both good

Thanks Midz, the Boge kit you spoke of was it lowered or standard ride height?
I just need to find out if I can fit Eibach lowered springs on Boge dampers.. Anyone done this?
