Which tyres for 15" BBS RAs?

I have a set of 15" BBS RAs and want to put some tyres on them tomorrow. What size tyres should be used on them as I hear various sizes being mentioned from 185 55 R15 to 195 50 R15 and 195 45 R15?

195 50 15's are the most common size used and are the cheapest! but all mentioned sizes will fit fine

yep - mines on 195 50 15s as i could get a deal on them  :wink:

went for goodyear eagle f1's last time, £160 fitted, you cant argue with that!

I'm running Bridgstone Potenza's, excellent grip and quite hard wearing. About £60 each.
Oh and they're 195 50's :smiley:

pirelli p6000s for £72 for 2 .

Gotta love car tyres compared to bike tyres prices  :grin: :laugh:

I've heard fitting 195 50s will give a harsher bumpier ride compared to fitting 185 55s; how true is this?

Slightly true due to the larger tyre wall on the 185 being able to deflect more and so absorb bumps better. It really wouldn't be a difference i would worry about!

i got lowered rock hard shock n springs so it wont make a difference  :grin:

I have two 185 55s handy to fit with decent tread on. May just buy two new 185 55s to go with them but need to check costs tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys.

I have a job interview in Devon on Tuesday to drive up to so want to get my wheels sorted out. I managed to buckle one of my current wheels so am running a temp steel wheel until I get the RAs on. OZ stopped making the particular wheels about 6-7 years ago so can't find a replacement. :cry:
