heres the results from the rolling road day in pompey







can you see whats wrong? i have put an arrow pointing to the afr line which should stay level instead of shooting up, meaning it was running too lean (almost dangerously!)
i have richened it up a bit today and it does feel better, but i now have no faith in my gunsons exhaust gas tester so will take it to an mot garage tomorrow and use theres to get the co on 2.0% 

looking at mews graph from his 2.0 16v the graphs are identical till mine tails off at the end, and his peak power is 6.8k ish whereas mine is 6.1 ish so im sure my engine has got 165bhp in it once setup nicely

i went to brands again on the 12th for my last track day of the year. turned out to be ideal conditions but unfortunately the ht leads broke down in the afternoon so was restricted to partial throttle and about 5k to avoid a nasty misfire. At least i got a whole day in on the r888's, which at the moment i havent really mastered as the grip is so much higher than road tyres! also let my friend dave drive my car (very good driver, has been karting since he was 8 ) and has shown me the car has a lot more to give! better get practising.....

also got a 20 minute session in last sunday in which i has a great battle with an oldish porsche (think it was g reg). i came up behind him in the traffic and followed for 3-4 laps, then a car overtook us both and i snuck past him as well, he chased me for a few laps but was blatantly quicker on the straights so i let him past, then chased him for a few more laps until he spun in front of me exiting druids  i soo need a camera setup for these moments (and so i can prove it lol)

also had to change the drivers side outer cv joint at the weekend in sub zero teperatures  i think the trackday abuse is starting to show lol

I had to change my thermostat whilst it was -2!

it makes the job take twice as long having to thaw the fingers out every 15mins doesnt it 

btw im eyeing up a trackday at brands on feb 13th, ill let you know if i book it if you still want to come

Deffo mate, week or so after my birthday definitely up for that!! I can bring my camera and get some pictures. Not up to Nicks standard though! I just had 10 cups of tea in the 2 hrs 30 it took me and my mate!
