The VR6 Engine
« on: 10 February 2008, 12:50 »
Hi just wondering has anyone ever done or attempted to put the vr6 24v head on the 12v (aaa code). Is this possible? I take it the injectors would be different so the wiring may need to be changed but does it physically fit? As the vr6 24v engine has a standard bhp of 304! More than the 12v
Thanks

Yea the 12v has a standard of 174 although i think the coil pack engine (obd2) has slightly more. Not sure how right this is?
And the 24v has 304 bhp i think, Well if the waterways are situated different then i take it there is no way!
Thanks anyway

My 8v gti has 500bhp. Rolled it on my drive on a trolley jack, got the figures from my ball of string and pencil.

Why build something you can buy?

Well unless it's something like a lambo or something you want, in which case, building it might be cheaper, but not by much.
