New Fast Golf???

Hi Took my car in for service armed with everyones advice - no major issues which was good.

Had a quick chat with the salesmen over an R32 they had displayed. During the conversation he made reference to a new fast golf coming out.

He didnt/couldnt give anything away just said it was going to be special and not the gti replacement and to expect news towards middle/end of this year.

Anyone else heard anything R36?? or something else.

Was he feeding me a line or have I missed something that everyone knows

Special edition is going to be the RS, based on the Thunder Bunny Concept (Find it in google) It will look like this but there is still speculation on what the engine will be. Some say the R36 engine as a development car has been seen with this bodykit on.

If this car is cheaper than an Ed30 and uses less fuel, then maybe so. I think it's the people who have just bought an R32 who are going to be slightly miffed  :grin:
