Best way to lower my car

as above have a mk4 20vt want to lower it but dont want to loose the ride i have 18"s on it now which has made it a bit smoother  but had 19"s on it wasnt to bad    any ideas ans what have u got and what do u think of it

Coilovers are best as they allow lots of adjustment so you can get it exactly as you want. Depends on your budget though.

you need a decent set of springs but to keep the ride you should also go for a matching set of shocks for two reasons; the springs are matched to the shocks and your standard ones will last about 5 minutes!!

Think Rich has just ordered some Eibach Pro dampers and spring kit; might be worth asking him; he's running 18's too

cool so i can just put a set of springs and shocks on there and wont be to harsh.
 i see some janspeed 1s for bout £180 didnt think was to bad but then i didnt know that janspeed made shocks lol

Speak to Julian; the guy knows quite a bit about suspension; tell him you're after comfort and performance and he should be able to point you in the right direction.  Probably some Bilsteins or something

What's your budget though??  Decent set you're looking at at least £350 i reckon

well budget is what ever i can get but say if u recomend a set for 500 quid ill wait till i can afford it if u know what i mean

best way of looking at it; do it once, do it properly   Phone Balance though; very helpful bloke    I'm in two minds as what to do with mine in whether i go aftermarket or Anniversary route    need a new clutch first though

new clutch thats goin to be few£Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£s a   i think the suspension will make the car look much better and other than the brakes its the last thing before the remap
with the brakes would i be ok with just some decent pads and disks or will i have to go bigger ??

Iv just had mine dropped on witech's. ride is more lumpy than standard as you might expect but if you do hit a bump it doesnt feel like someones kiking you in the ass.

Coilover kit and front ARB for 597 delivered.

Yeah got  eibach pro springs and eibach pro damper kit, All being fitted tomorrow 
 Going -30mm I shall let you know what i think and get some pics up
