Not quite Phil, the airport viewing area overlooks the bit where you drive in from the main road, just managed to be watching a plane take off as you drove past, although must admit, like you can spot one a mile off

Did he have a child in the car for you to wink at? 

As i was fueling up i could see people staring over. One fellow in a normal MK5 TDi was pointing it out to his child who must have been around 11 and i could see what he was thinking  .

After i paid i got back in and drove off but as i was i went passed the MK5 TDi and gave the child a wink in acknowledgement.

Steel Grey 5dr Ed30 with a 57 plate on the M1 south near Northampton at 1600 today. Driven by a black-haired lady with a chap in the front passenger seat.

Just like mine. God do I miss her  . (My GTi not the lady  )

Also - Silver 3 dr Ed30 on an 08 plate on the M25 at 1700 today. Left on J27 (Brentwood etc).

Saw quite a few GTs but no non-Ed30 GTis.

Think the Ed30 is too common now and I am perfectly happy with my anonymous silver 1.6 Focus

- White Ed30 travelling West in opps direction on A35 on Saturday morning - Not you, hotrod.

- Black GTI travelling East in opps direction on A35 yesterday driven by woman who waved and so I gave her the thumbs up.

- Overtook a black GTI on 17's on M3 near London recently - Driven by a young guy with VERY thick spectacles and driving like a granny!
