My mate has used this on my car, his car and loads more, it works, he clears faults on my ecu with it, reset the ecu, etc, etc. This is the exact one he bought, he linked me himself, not sure about the other ones on ebay but I know this works perfectly
Will always love my mk4 but she had to go...225 Quattro TT in its place....but its still black (she lives on in spirit!)

my cable came today, the one that was recommended.  I cant get it to work tho.  version 409.1 was installed via the ross-tech website as well as the drivers that came with the cable but to no avail.  The test comes up with the following message:
"Port Status: OK
Interface: Not Found!"

What am in doin wrong?

Sometimes your PC will allocate different internal components to COM 1-4, plug the lead in and allocate the lead to com 1, 2, 3 or 4 in device manager.  This will hopefully let vag-com see it.  Vag-com can only look for 1-4 although your laptop might have 12 or so com ports.
