They tried to nick my mk1  :'(

She had been left by me so her tyres had gone down and as her battery wasn't the best she needed a jump.

They drilled the lock - then couldn't get in so they tried to pry her open. That didn't work so they smashed the quarter and wound the window down and climbed in. They didn't manage to take her but they used my jump start machine on her as when I went to start her she started first time. They nicked the jump start machine though!

They must've got frustrated as they keyed all along the side of her and have taken off some paint work  :'(

I need to get her resprayed and rust sorted anyways but poor ickle mk1  :(

wanna know something funny though. They've pulled the solenoid wires down so I reckon they tried to hot wire her but all they did was open the boot  ;D

They left my rare wheels though. (not complaining!!)

She;s all secure again now but can;t open passenger door but thats not a big thing for me right now!

I spoke to him, but he really nees to see the car to give you a figure  :-\

Are you coming to Newark? He's taken his 16v out of hibernation now, so he'll be following me up to Newark. I'm sure he'll be able to give you a price there and then  ;D

Hi Sarah,
Havent been on the forum for a while, and to come back to news like that is always a downer! hope you get it all sorted out.
It makes me glad I have moved back to the sleepy scottish highlands!! very little crime, and some fantastic roads for a weekend thrashing!! Bet it makes you wish you still lived up here?
