Engine mounts
« on: 30 March 2004, 13:11 »
need to do engine mounts desperately on mk2 8v gti.
I'm pretty handy on the DIY front but am sure i've
heard or read somewhere about one of the mounts being
a real bastard!
Should i leave it to a garage  or  have a go?
Any tips, ideas comments etc gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Carlos.

Rear engine mount is a pig to get at.............but not impossible. If you don't mind scraped knuckles and bit of swearing then go for it ;)

thanks guys, will probably give it a go.
eurocarparts are next door to where I work.
Are the mounts they supply Ok?.
Don't have to last forever, cars probably got
another 18months/2 yrs left in it.
