16v conversion

hi there iv got 1985 gti convertable which i want to convert to a 16v apart from the lump  can i keep the k-jet system and what about the ignition side of things if poss with out changing the loom can it be done???if so can any one help please thsnks scott

me own mk1 cab is running a 2.0l 9a conversion from a corrado  :wink:
