....I'm assuming you don't want to spend big bucks on it, so -

Consider a Carbonio intake which simply replaces the standard upper grill ram and doesn't mean changing your engine cover filter box. It comes with a PiperCross flat panel filter which is better than paper standard one.

Milltek make great performance exhausts but aren't cheap. I don't know if they do one for your model.

But these mods deliver minimal gain without a remap.

The last car I had was a GTTDI 140 DSG and I had a Milltek catback exhaust and a Superchips remap. I had it almost 18 months and 16 of those were with the mods. The Diesel torque was great in conjunction with the DSG as it kept you in the sweet spot .

It did a 0-60 in just over seven seconds and a standing qtr in 15.3 seconds, so it was no slouch.

....If you have DSG, a good tuner will limit the torque to about 300 ft lb / 400 Nm.

Seeing you are in Hampshire I can very wholeheartedly recommend you consider JKM - Jim on 023 9263 9933 - Feel free to mention me (Robin red Mk5 GTI) to Jim or Kate. They are real enthusiasts and will advise you honestly and without obligation.
