Thermostat 1.8T
« on: 01 February 2008, 18:02 »
Going to replace the thermostat on my 1.8T (AGU) now ive been told there are two types for the 1.8T anyone know if that is true?
Ive been told one  is just a normal type and the other has electronics in it?  aparantly it costs £79  :undecided:
Anyone done a thermostat on a 1.8T?

i didnt remove to alternator, i fink there are 2 bolts both 10mm there a bit of a pain to get to, i used a 1/4 drive ratchet with a wobbly extension coz you av to go in at an angle. you will also have to bleed the coolant system to make sure you dont av any air locks in it.
