Give Awesome a ring, bit spooky but after we met the other day and I remember your post about wanting black ones, and I thought the red 1's didn't look great, I asked them if they could get them, and Andy said they probably could, either from BBS or from the supplier of the really smart replicas they've got in the showroom. Worth a try?

i rang yesterday when i ordered my coilovers, they are calling me back today at some point.

You'll notice a big difference pal, might be a little harsher but much more controlled. Be prepared for the front arch liner to rub a little to

it rubs anyways, its sat about 15mm lower than standard at the moment as its on eibach springs, but have decided to go lower now  is there any way of stopping the rubbing? maybe flaring the arches? has anybody done this  :undecided: i wouldnt fancy it myself.

It doesn't actually rub on the wheel arch as such its just the liner. If you look near the centre of the arch there is a raised part with a mounting screw, take the screw out and tuck the liner up behind the mounting tab thats part of the wing, I also bent the tab up a little to give more clearance, I used a captive nut in the liner, reinstalled the screw and painted the tab black just to finish it off. I know some people haven't bothered putting the screw back in with no poblems. Hope this makes sense

yea, it makes sense.....i had to take the whole 'inner' out to fit the dv valve, i know where you mean, ill have a look at the when i get the springs fitted, how low much lower is your than standard? also do you have spacers as the wheels look like they fill the whole arch more!?

No, no spacers just thinkin about fitting them actually. Think its 30-35mm lower pal, had a few attempts at getting the height I was happy with. I do have the actual figures but there at work and I'm not till tuesday

....Hmmm, I probably won't be very popular saying this, but: For road use, using coil-overs and slamming down the suspension, and certainly using spacers, isn't necessarily going to improve your handling - In fact, it could make it worse. It looks very cool but I suggest doing a performance car driving course such as CarLimits and/or Drivetrain.

Also, don't forget to tell your insurance about such mods.
