....No, those fleeBay ones won't fit - They are self-adhesive flatties. The Mk5 VW plastic centre caps cost at least £5 each and are subject to white worm.

I've been trying to find alternatives for ages but no-one makes the right size....................yet!

Meanwhile I've removed all 4 of mine.

[EDIT: I've just noticed you don't have BBS Monzas fitted]

the vw ones are a tiny bit too small and would fall out on every corner or bump if i put them in as the clips dont go far enough in,

the self ad ones may stick over the red caps i have at the moment!? would this work well or look rubbish??  :undecided:

hmmm, now I think about it might look a bit crap  :undecided:. why not remove them for a bit like redrobin has - the red does stick out like a sore thumb!

Ive tried stick on ones before and they looked pants.

What diameter is the inner steel retaining ring?

I have a set of VW caps on my spare 18" alloys and they are 65mm diameter on the outside - lip to lip, but the retaining steel ring is 50mm.  If it looks like a good match then the part number is 7D0 601 165

Give Awesome a ring, bit spooky but after we met the other day and I remember your post about wanting black ones, and I thought the red 1's didn't look great, I asked them if they could get them, and Andy said they probably could, either from BBS or from the supplier of the really smart replicas they've got in the showroom. Worth a try?
