TO DO LIST

Lower the schlaggCrystal headlightsSmoked crystal indicators
New plates
New brake calipers, disks and pads on all four corners
Replace headligning and front door cardsInstall sound system
New front splitter
New rocker cover gasket, sparks, dizzy, leads, K&N panel filter etc ...
Clean the engine and generally tidy it up
Replace cracked windscreen
fit new back box and exhaust exhaust system
Sort out why the clocks sometimes decide to work
Get the other set of alloys refurbed and fitted, they also need new tryes
Fit the Sparco pedals and new gear knob
Lay the rear wiper flat

Right where to start ... here she is when i bought her,

Gave her a wash and vacume yesterday, however the paint was still dull as fook! Basically i believe it has been sitting on a drive since 1999, new battery in and started 1st time, gotta love VW's  :smug:

quick few pics of the bad points ..

Nice headligning (hopefully have a new one to replace it ;))

Holes in the seat, other seats are mint tho!

Door cards  :undecided: its a shame because this is my favorite pattern so i will have to keep my eyes peeled for some just like them :)

Today I took out the headligning, door cards and fitted some nice new chrome door pulls! Also started to T cut her and shoe polish the side strips ..

Paint work before ...

After, has alot of swirls in the paint work but cant grumble

Replaced the grey plastic trim with the metal ones

So after today she looks like this,

1. the next thing to get sorted on the 'to do list' is sort out the clocks ... somtimes they light up sometimes they dont, rev counter doesnt work etc, had this on the driver and it was just a loose connection. while the clocks are out i will be replacing the lights with blue or red led's

2. there is a hole in the exhaust somewhere so going to locate that.

3. New sparks, dizzy cap, rotar arm, leads and flush the engine and try to sort out the idle.

Recieved the new exhaust from RobDub today, well chuffed with it

Gave her another wash today, and got one side shoe polished before the fog came down and i couldnt see anything

got some pics of the damage to the rear quatre and passenger door today .. also the bit of rust near the VW badge

Still looks a bit scared of the ground, collecting some 40mm or 50mm Apex lowering springs and shocks on the 21st at a meet and i need to get that wiper laying flat

also sanded the strips down and laqured them so they should hopefully stay this colour :)

Im sure its not supposed to have this much crap in it?  :O

Tomorrow im hopefully going to be taking off the radiator casing, sanding that down and painting it with hammerite! will be replacing perished pipes and stooof soon :)

Thinking of rubbing the old girl down spraying her matt green, strip the interior and cage her ...

my inspiration...

Although id keep the black arches and side trim

Opinions?
