The Japanese market Civic Type R comes with a Union Jack out of the factory to signify where it was manufactured.

I know of quite a few tuned cars in the U.S that have the German flag, don't really see it as an issue if you want to put one on it.

I wouldn't get a badge of any kind stuck on my car, but I don't think there's any problem these days with having a german flag stuck on a car.

It's increasingly rare for a german car to be built in germany (going that way with british cars too :-) ), so why not? (Taste aside of course).

You aint going to belive this, we recently got remote connection on the site im working at, boss was checking to make sure that it was working, just as I clicked on the last link. Ebay window popped up, windows then logged out as he logged in. Got a phone call asking what I was doing looking at pink GTI stickers? Looked like a right tw@t I did.

bloody hell mate don't ever run a german badge on a rhd gti totally
nothing against the german flag but  just so cr@p

you dont live there so why do it?

I think it looks alright. As for it being german, well i drive a german designed and made GTI
I find the MK5 rear a bit bland with just a "GTI" badge. Want to balance it by having a badge on the other side

Maxamus - how about a nice colour coded Nurburgring badge on the other side....?

Or hows about a 1.4 Badge and a Rabbit front kit not to mention hub caps and then put your "turbo" badge on so your car loses any resemblance at all to a GTI and then you can surprise all the mommies in their Renault Clios who think they faster than you

Or at least thats what they do in America....

I'll leave now..  :embarassed:

I think it would be funny at first but then the styling of a gti is much better than the normal golfs imo

Also why make it look like youve downgraded your car
