Black 18" Monza's on Ed30..
« on: 30 January 2008, 17:30 »
I notice a few of the Ed30 owners have gone for these (good choice IMO).

Since I am changing the wheels on mine pretty much straight away. I was thinking of probably going for these...

But I do like the Monza's too, but from what I understand they are a aftermarket choice and are not on the options list (Even though Auto Express say they are a £1500 option). Best price i've found is £900. Does anyone know if that can be beaten? Don't need tyres, just rims. Don't even mind if they are second hand, so long as they are in mint condition..

I spoke with my local stealer and they have them for £280 each!  If you have Monza's already it would be much cheaper to have them refurbed.

I like black Monza's because when it is dark and the street lights shine just so, the rim reflects the light from its plain surface very very nicely. I wish one could get 19'' Monzas in black, I'd go for them. I do not have any plans to change my stock Monzas for any aftermarket product, wven though I sometimes look at iForged line of rims (black center and wide chrome lip, mm)

BTW, do not forget that I am not from Britain, and black Monzas were free choice of rim.

There was a pic I saw a while back which had black BBS wheels (18 or 19" not sure) with a white line on the rim.

It really looked great on a white car. Has anyone got a link to a pic like that?

I think you might be referring to the car in this link (near bottom of thread for final photos) :-

Johnny G - thanks that was exactly what I was looking for:

The white line really makes the black wheels stand out. Without the line, it's not easy to tell where the rubber ends and the wheel begins at some angles... very smart!
