Grrrrrrr
« on: 29 March 2004, 12:28 »
Time for a rant.

Scenario - 11.30 last night - woken up by a loud thud and some shouting

Wake up this morning - nice big foot print on the rear wing of my Golf, together with a good sized dent and paint removed back to the bare metal.

Someone's idea of a bit of fun. >:(

F**king ba5stards - not gonna be cheap to repair.  that said, not sure I'm going to repair it as this happens all the time where I live.  If I do repair it, I'll be even more annoyed when it happens again (because it will happen again, believe me).   It's not like I live in a rough area  - it's just the local kids pi55ed up on Strongbow.   I'd like to castrate the f*ckers that did it though. :D

Rant over [til next time] :-[

Hope you dont have ground FX.. find the buggers and run em the f#ck over. ;D

Similar thing happened to my front fender with an electric compay truck (must have swung open his door REAL hard.. missing some paint too).

You know what they say, you never forget your first.. dent.

Had a proper look at it last night - the damage to the paintwork is minimal; a lot of the scuff came out with T-Cut.  I think dentmaster may be able to 'pull' it out as it's not really caved in - more just a gentle concave patch!  Anyone used these dentmaster type places before - what are the results like?  Likely cost anyone?  I might get it done if it's only ?100 - ?150.  I've no idea though.  Cheers in advance.  E

dentmaster/dentwizard is a call out service, its about 80 quid.

they use a special glue stick thing, they attach it to the paint work, pull the dent out, then the rod heats the glue, and it detachs leaving a perfect surface.. ish...

:)
