the trim that fits around the exhausts on an ed30 looks like its removable, when a dozy bint crashed into the back of mine i got a good look at how its attatched. it looks like it just clips in. its sitting in the boot at the repair center as i type this

I have an ed30 bumper sitting in my spare bedroom at the moment and can confirm it is one piece. There is no way of splitting it

....Thanks, guys

Tyres not new but lasting well on the back.

I'm really pleased with the new rear - Looks far more OEM and also more 'business-like'. The Milltek pipes fit much more snugly into the OSIR carbonfibre trim.

It would be very risky to colour paint the black reversing sensors without first removing them - Not worth the effort. Paint could easily interfere with the sensor rings.

I think I have finally finished my body mods! (apart from rear VW badge lock in CF) - Famous last words?

Digging up an old thread here as this mod interests me..

Red, I really like your rear

If I was to get hold of an R32 spoiler (the piece with the reflectors) but wanted to retain the stock GTI exhaust configuration then what are my options?  I'm not bothered about carbon fibre parts.  From reading the previous posts I think the GTI exhaust trim will not fit the R32 spoiler, correct?

....Hi Clive,

The Mk5 R32 'spoiler' (piece with reflectors) has various cut outs for different Mk5 exhaust configurations (I'll see if I can post a pic later). It's then a matter of fitting an 'exhaust trim' to suit yours. Mine is carbon to suit quads. I know that OSIR do a carbon to suit central R32 pipes but not sure offhand about where a GTI twin-pipe trim piece could be sourced whether carbonfibre or not.

You're right that the stock GTI exhaust trim won't fit the R32 spoiler. VW didn't follow through their designed cut-outs very well!
