Firstly, sorry for asking such a lame question. I've spent most of my life with carb'd engines so these new (ha!) fangled fuel injection ones are proving to be somewhat noodle scratchers.
I drive a Mk1 GTi, but it has the Mk2 16v GTi engine fitted.
Is the ECU likely to still be the Mk1 varient (not the greatest conversion job on the electrical front), or does it need to be the MK2 one?
If it is still the MK1 one, will the loom have a connector floating about for the throtle position sensor or idle stabilisation valve?
If not, does anyone know which wires to splice into once I buy the plugs second hand?
Neither of these are currently connected to anything and want to know how to sort it. The car runs fine when warm, but struggles a tad to start when cold.
I'd figure that these two things being connected will help no end!
Thank you all in advance, and sorry again for the first of many very lame questions!
Macca
