Reverse lights not working!
« on: 28 January 2008, 16:10 »
And its not the bulbs, any ideas would be most welcome as people keep beeping at me reversing out into main roads and car parks and the like.  Inconsiderate gits. :

Most likely to be the switch in the gearbox. I think it's located to the right of the flywheel inspection hatch. Take off the connector and check for continuity when reverse is selected. If faulty replace. If it's OK then it's time to check out all the wiring.

Take the connector off, bridge it out with a piece of wire and switch on the ignition, if the reverse lights come on the switch is faulty

Have you got a micrometer or voltmeter? If so, check your getting getting volts at the light cluster point and at the switch connector. Check the connector for any pulled wires etc.
