hi there first things first hallo im new here and yes i have a golf gti, and believe it or not i have probs and questions so any help or pointers would be greatly accepted :smiley:

ok the first one is i have just bought my second mk2 gti 8v but this one is on the strange side for instance its a 4 gear box didnt know they made these lol has anyone had experience with this is it better or should i invest 99 squid for the 5 gear box.

are you sure its a 4 speed?

and the linkage is not worn?
has prev owner fitted wrong gearbox?

more info required

hi and thanx for the welcome i got the info needed and it looks like its just shot! doesnt matter i,ll just find a new box! its just one more thing to do on this abused gti(poor thing looks like its been at the bottom of the canal   lol.) :laugh:
