yeah, what i should have said is smothed/flowed/bored out/knife edge, as the pots on the throttle body & inlet are already matched I believe!
With the throttlew body you grind out as much material as you dare, then smooth out the walls to increase airflow. Once you've done that, you can work on the edges of the throttle butterfly to make them as smooth as possible, and some even go as far as to modify the linkages so they open at a full 90 degrees.
