plugs are ok, havent compression tested though.

theres no spark, and no fuel is getting through.
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

whichever way i can do what i want with work tomorrow..

so am gonna call the break down people first thing and get the car over to carshop, they have a fault code reader n stuff there, plus i know they have free time tomorrow coz i told em i might randomly turn up, i'mma give em a call first thing too though.

feeling happier now  :)

No spark or fuel, and some burnt smells...

I'd check the wire harnesses, first around where you saw it first time then just around.  No power to coil or fuel pump, check the harness that leads to or from the CPU.

At first description though, sounded like the timing belt stripped a few teeth and burned up the belt, I'd check that next..

There aren't too many things that would affect both..

well cambelt was only done in oct, at the dealership so i hope that'd be ok.

so i guess something got frazzed. (never can be too sure tho :()

i'm takin it in tomorrow anyways, so they'll see. :)

Timing belt won't affect the fuelling, it will probably affect the spark as the cam sender will not operate.
Is the alarm/immobiliser working properly?
vw immobilisers usually cut fuel and ignition.

it has a toad ai600 alarm... it arms and disarms ok, but wouldnt put it past it at all...

i normally use these guys i'm taking it to for alarm/stereo and electrical stuff, as do most of the people i work with :)

The only other thing i can think of is a problem with the ecu, or maybe ecu relay.

Did you check for a spark from the coil as well as from the ht leads?
