what wheels on vr6.

what wheels go on vr6! we tried bk 299 which touched the caliper / carrier it was extremely close by under 1 mm. in fact its a wonder it didnt scrape!
they were 7 wide by 17" with 205 / 40 tyres..... with 35 offset (so we think) it was stamped near the bolt holes.....
ended up taking them back......... when we ordered them we asked fittment for a golf vr6......

what sizes and offsets go on the vr6 without any problems........

any ideas................................

BK299 are very tidy wheels....

But I've always heard that anything over 16" is not good for the mk3...

And if the cars lowered, then its even worse...

My RH Cuprads needed 6mm spacers on the front as they hit the caliper mounting brackets and now there is less than 1mm clearance (scarey!!!!)

That is so true.

I had a mk3 8v lowered & sittin on 17 mille miglia
spiders,and it was horrible. From now on i will only  go1-2" over the standard size.

Its not like 15" wheels that come witht he mk3 GTI need replacing? there really smart looking wheels!

I wouldn't go that far!

It all depends what you are looking for or consider to be more important. If its simply looks you are going for then great, but if you want to keep the handling then I wouldn't recommend going any higher than 15's

You might aswell put the thing on rails!
