Key Fob Help Please
« on: 21 January 2008, 15:27 »
Hi Everyone
New to this forum stuff so please bear with me
I have a Golf GT TDI V reg so think it's 2000.  I desperatly need to get a new key fob but have no idea about what is the best way to go about getting one.  I've been told going to a dealer is very expensive and to look on ebay then get it programmed but have no idea what the model number of my fob is or how to find out. All I can tell is that it is two buttons  :embarassed:
Would very much appreciate any advice.
Cheers

I spoke to my local VW stealer to see if they can cut and frequency me up, they said they cant do it at their places as there keys are made to order from Germany. They did however give me a number of a localish place with would do it for me so it might worth giving them a bell and see if they do something similar.

Hmm forty quid and out of stock, not bad. Cheers rich.

Will have to keep checking. Would you recommend that over the ebay route?
