get yourself a round steel tax disk holder

Unfortunately here in Ireland you are required by law to display both a tax and insurance disc. Insurance discs are square and there's not really any other decent looking solution that'll fit that I've seen.

I'll do likewise! I'm always looking out for fellow irish GTI's! Watch out for those lovely wheels... I had an encounter with a pothole lately, took a small chip out of one of mine. grrrrr
Have a look at the tax/insurance disc holders for sale on vagdrivers... I got one, it's much smarter than the dealer supplied yokes.

Was up in Aberdeen this weekend and took a couple of snaps - excuse the finish on the car I had just driven up from Edinburgh so she is not looking 'showroom'  :embarassed:
