BP Unleaded Vs Super Unleaded
« on: 21 January 2008, 11:32 »
Hi Peeps,
I have just finished doing a 600 mile comparison between BP unleaded and Super Unleaded, so i thought i would share my findings.

MPG
Unleaded 30.74 mpg average
Super Unleaded 32.35 mpg average

COST
Unleaded £1.07 per litre
Super Unleaded £1.14 per litre

COST PER MILE
Unleaded 285 miles using 42.14 litres = 16p per mile
Super Unleaded 375 miles using 52.68 litres = 16p per mile

CONCLUSION
Super Unleaded gives better MPG, better throttle response, cleaner engine (according to BP), and cured my lumpy idle, at no extra cost !!
Not a scientific analysis, but quite interesting. Will carry on using Super Unleaded, and monitoring cost/MPG.

101.9 in Bristol and the birds ain't all that..... maybe there's some sort of correlation here between petrol prices and fitness of birds.

What are they like in Shetland?  By rights they should all be fit as!
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
