Dog Bone Mount...
« on: 21 January 2008, 10:43 »
Mine has randomly come out, went over Essex on Saturday night and hit a dirty pothole and from what I can see looking under the car the dogbone mount has come out! To put this back in can I just bolt it up or do I need to remove loads of stuff (ie: the engine?)
Will always love my mk4 but she had to go...225 Quattro TT in its place....but its still black (she lives on in spirit!)

I'd be more worried about why it has come out mate

Good opportunity to put an R32 one back instead

Cheers Rich - I jacked it up last night and had a look. The mount was completely loose and my engine had tilted backwards which obvioulsy wasnt good! And to make matters worse where the rear of the engine had tilted back, my inlet mani was way too high and in turn dented my bonnet outwards in a few spots

Got to get a new dogbone, but me and a mate sorted the one I got temporarily so it'l hold till the weekend.
