Hi everyone seen few ppl talk bout this site on few other forums, so fort ill pop over to see whats going on
ive got a totally standard 1989 MK2 8v, paid £50 for it, as it had a driveline problem, but wiped the box out and popped in a new clutch and engagement arm, and hay presto she moves
whilst i had the bonnet open i popped on a cambelt and did full service, and now drives just like new
only other thing wrong is the colour, its red(ish) so its faded to pink, so last weekend i started taking all the trim and bumpers off, and windows out, doors off, bonnet off, tailgate off and started to sand it back to prime up, found next to no rust on the whole body !!
got a price for the respray, im doing all the prep work and im priming it. im suppling the paint and my m8 is sprayin it in his booth for £100 for the labor !!
