Hi everyone,

Great forum you have here.  Just wanted to introduce myself as I've just put down a deposit on an approved used '07 mk V R32 (5 door).  Hopefully will take delivery next week.

I was looking for something small to drive daily and the mini is just proving too harsh and uncomfortable as its suspension is just too hard.  That plus the fact that I love 4WD cars, I just had to have an R32.  The thought of an S3 did cross my mind but I just couldn't live with the lack of back doors.  I also love the sound of the V6!

I'm sure I'll enjoy my time here and may ask some pathetic questions to begin with, but I'll also try and use the search button.

Look forward to seeing you all around.

Alex

Welcome - The R32 does sound nice but how does it compare to a RS4 or a M400

Thanks guys,

The RS4 does indeed sound nice, but I love both V6 and V8 sounds equally.  Not really sure how to explain it but they each have their own unique character and I don't find the V6 inferior just because it has less cylinders.  The standard R32 sounds a lot nicer than a standard M400 in my opinion.  Modified exhausts give the M400 a better sound but even then, a milteked R32 is hard to beat.

I guess a miltek may well be my first mod, although I don't tend to mod an awful lot.

Thanks T88OM and Steve and Hurdy,

Steve, not a million miles away from you.  I'm in Harrow.  Where do you take your Edition 30 (very nice btw) for servicing?  I want to find a good dealer in the area.  The only one I know is Colindale VW.  Although their servicing dept may be better, their sales needs a LOT of work.

Watford has a nice new audi dealership which I haven't tried yet.
