Awesome, cheers, i have a mk3 8v. So i would love the 0-60 of the turbo, but mainly the WWW TISH as you piss all over a saxo with lexus lights. lol

Correct me if im wrong but surely the 0-60 is not that different between the two, 1.8T 8 SECS ? MK3 8V 9 SECS ?

My 8v really dont pull 9secs though. And its 115bhp not 150bhp, and the 16v and vr6 are higher insurance groups, sooo 1.8t is the same as my 8v, and being 19, insurance is what swings it for me! Plus the WWWW TISH

Taken from http://www.letstorquebhp.com/fwd.asp

Volkswagen Golf 1.8T Gti 150  - 8.51

Volkswagen Golf Gti 8v 3dr (MK3) - 10.44

Take these readings with a large pinch of salt, but you get the jist.

Hang on, how can a 1.8T 150 be in the same insurance groupe as 2.0 8v 115. I know my MK4 2.0 8v isnt, its lower.

I don't know about the Mk3, but the std 1.8T 150 is 8.5 secs.  Get it re-mapped, though, & the 1.8T's hit the bencmark sprint in 6/6.5 secs!
