Thanks for the post on the throttle body clean

Cleaned my TB today on 1.8t agu engine. All went well, it was filthy! I don't have access to vag com so I just took it for a drive bout 30 miles hoping to reset however it now idles @ 1400 rpm... sometimes up as far as 1600. Has anyone else had this problem? Theres a major improvement in the smoothness of the drive now just the idle problem still remains :undecided:.

Any suggestions?

Mines an AGU. Have had no probs with it since. The engine will idle higher when cold (im sure you know this ) does it do it all the time?

Yea it does it all the time. The reason I cleaned it in the first place was to see if it would stop idling at 1200rpm now its worse  Do ya think it could be the MAF? I may go to a garage n get it plugged into a comp n see if any faults pop up..
