TT Q Sport Vs Ed.30
« on: 12 January 2008, 20:30 »
Seems to be a lot of similar titles to the above - in for a penny in for a pound.........

My wife just bought a Audi Quattro sport - red with black roof jobbie - 4k on the clock. When you sit in it it is deffo from a spec above - bloody lovely!! - but faster? -  No - the Ed. 30 feels faster and the engine does feel one evolution on - not to say the TTQS doesn't drive really nice, as it does - for a stiff MkIV Golf it's great!

Yeah, I must admit I do like this version of the TT. One of the lads at work has one. He didn't know that the roof would have been black anyway as he bought a black one . I definitely agree that it feels slower than the ED30 and I also felt that it wasn't as responsive - even given it's 4WD system. Build quality and styling is still drool worthy though

it will be slower, if you call them the same bhp for arguments sake, the haldex system saps loads of power, so actual power at the wheels will be alot less in the tt than the ed30. still love the sport TT though, the recaros are ace and the rear bar and net looks really trick

If only they had taken the TTQS interior elements and stuck them in the golf - suede steering wheel with red stiching - Ohh, i could have a private moment over that one!

you obviously made the right choice.
But TTS has the same fabulous TFSI plant as the GTI, so...

Saw your Edition 30 at the Holburn junction traffic lights the other day...wheels could do with a clean

The QS was a nice car, but not a huge difference from the 225 TT I had before....you're right when you say the 1.8T feels old tech compared to the 2.0TFSI
